Optisch ist das Buch mit der berühmten roten rechten Hand Gottes natürlich, wie alle Penguin Clothbound, ein Highlight. Aber auch die Ausgabe des Gedichtes kann sich sehen lassen, man findet nicht nur den Text sondern auch Erläuterungen, auf stabilem Papier. Englisch sollte man aber in Wort und Schrift definitiv gut beherrschen. Zum berühmten Inhalt gibt es im Prinzip nicht viel zu sagen, ein absoluter Klassiker der Weltliteratur und wer Dantes Komödie mag wird auch hier begeistert sein.
Habe das Buch als Kindle Version gekauftKostet nichtmal einen Euro und ist leserlich, sowie fehlerfrei auf das Format übertragen worden (zumindest bis zu meinem Lesestand, ca. 1/4 des Buches).Das Buch selbst ist sehr interessant und lesenswert, jedoch muss man sich bewusst sein das es in relativ altem Englisch verfasst worden ist, somit sind manche Wörter unbekannt, andere haben nichtmehr die selbe Bedeutung.Außerdem ist es kein entspanntes Buch zum nebenbei Lesen, es regt sehr zum Nachdenken an.
Originalsprache ist halt immer noch cooler wenn mans versteht weil ist halt original und das Buch auch schick günstig und macht einfach Spaß!
Habe selten ein so großes Taschenbuch gesehen. Auch sie Schriftteilung (zwei Spalten pro Seite) ist etwas verwirrend und stört den Lesefluss. Verarbeitung ok, allerdings nach zweimal lesen schon fast wegwerfgeeignet. Besser eine ander Edition kaufen, die stabiler ist und nicht wie ein Comicbuch.
Manchmal will man abschalten, träumen, channeln oder einfach nur chillen. Paradise Lost würde ich auf die Insel mitnehmen.
Es ist sicherlich schön Miltons Text auch einmal zu hören, aber leider etwas spärlicher Umfang
